| Abstract | The author is preparing a bibliography of papers on flux density data of radio sources in general, which estimates that the number of published flux densities is approaching 400,000 by mid-1990, and this number is growing at ever higher speed. The data are scattered over hundreds of papers, and are not readily available from the existing astronomical data centers. A proposal for creating a publicly accessible pool for data on radio sources is described and has been distributed to about 200 individual radio astronomers and a few observatories. The results of this campaign are presented and future possibilities to achieve this goal are outlined. |
