| Abstract | O estudo realizado com o modelo MCGA/MPI-CPTEC/INPE sobre a previsão do ciclone extratropical ocorrido no dia 23/02/2006, revela que o modelo configurado com as opções da versão operacional do CPTEC, tem dificuldades em prever a intensidade da baixa pressão e o vento em superfície do ciclone com mais de 72 horas de antecedência. O aumento na resolução do modelo, não propiciou uma melhora nos campos analisados, porém pode influenciar positivamente em campos importantes, como a precipitação, avaliados em outros estudos. Em estudos que se planejam representar a intensidade de baixa pressão e os campos de vento em superfície do ciclone, pode-se utilizar uma resolução da ordem de 100 km (T126L28) . ABSTRACT The study performed with the model MCGA/MPI-CPTEC/INPE about the forecast of the extratropical cyclone occurrence at day 23/02/2006, showed that the model configured with the options of the operational version of the CPTEC, has difficulties in forecasting the intensity the pressure low and the wind in surface of the cyclone with more than 72 hours of antecedence. The increase in the resolution of the model did not propitiated an improvement in the analyzed fields, however it can have important influence in others fields, as the precipitation, influenced positively in other studies. In studies that are planned to represent the intensity of pressure low and the fields of wind in surface of the cyclone it is advised to use ~100 km of resolution (T126L28). |
