AbstractThe National Institute for Space Research (INPE) is an organization of the Brazilian Ministry of Science and Technology that is responsible for scientific research and technological development related do space and atmosphere. As a natural part of its activities, INPE has been operating in-house developed satellites since 1993. INPE Satellite Tracking and Control Center is constituted by a pair of telemetry, tracking and commanding ground stations for performing real-time activities, and a satellite control center for planning and coordination of those activities. Currently, INPE operates three satellites, two of which are data collecting satellites (SCD-1 and SCD-2), and the remaining one an earth resources satellite (CBERS-2).
