| Abstract | Dentre todas as variáveis meteorológicas, a precipitação recebe grande destaque devido sua influência nas mais variadas áreas da atividade humana. Sendo assim, é de fundamental importância para o desenvolvimento de diversas áreas de pesquisa ter-se o conhecimento espacial e temporal desta variável. Portanto, este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar o comportamento da precipitação, acumulados e ciclo diurno, sobre a região da Bacia do Prata, durante a atuação de dois tipos de Jatos de Baixos Níveis (CJE e NCJE), previamente classificados por Nicolini et al (2004). Para isso foram utilizadas estimativas de precipitação obtidas através de dados de satélite, a partir do algoritmo 3B42. Assim analisou-se as taxas de precipitação de diversas formas, como por exemplo ciclo sazonal e sobre influência de sistemas frontais e sistemas convectivos, durante a atuação dos dois tipos de jato. Dentre muitas verificações observadas ao longo da pesquisa é válido destacar uma característica interessante, na qual foram observadas maiores taxas acumuladas de precipitação relacionadas com o jato do tipo CJE durante atuação de SF, enquanto que para o jato do tipo NCJE maiores taxas acumuladas de precipitação foram observadas durante atuação de SC. As áreas que apresentaram as maiores taxas de precipitação, relacionadas com a posição de saída dos dois tipos de jato, mostraram-se de acordo com a prévia classificação proposta por Nicolini et al (2004). Sabendo que os JBN são eficientes no transporte de umidade entre trópicos e extratrópicos, também analisou-se a direta influência destes jatos sobre o aporte de umidade para a área de estudo e sua direta relação com o comportamento da precipitação sobre a região da Bacia do Prata. Com isso pôde-se então mostrar que a atuação dos jatos do tipo CJE e NCJE é de fundamental importância no transporte de umidade para a área de estudo, mostrando a direta relação entre a convergência de umidade e o comportamento da precipitação sobre a área de interesse desta pesquisa. ABSTRACT: Precipitation is certainly the most important meteorological variable not only due to its importance for the humanity, but also due to its crucial role in the hydrological cycle. Research and studies focusing on the spatial and temporal variability of precipitation is fundamental for many areas. This assignment aims to analyze the rainfall behavior, over the La Plata Basin, during the occurrence of two different types of Low Level Jets: Chaco and Non Chaco Jets. Rainfall estimations retrieved by the algorithm 3B42 were used to the diurnal cycle of precipitation under the influence of the jets and both convective and frontal systems. It was observed that the highest rain rates for the Chaco Jets occurred when the Low Level Jets interacted with Front Systems, whilst the highest rain rates for the Non Chaco Jets occurred when the Low Level Jets interacted with Convective Systems. This assignment has also analyzed the impacts of the Low Level Jets on the transport of moisture from the tropics towards the extra tropical region and its influence in the precipitation over the study area. It was concluded that the Chaco and Non Chaco Jets present a crucial role in the rainfall regime in the La Plata Basin once there is a direct relationship between moisture convergence and the rainfall behavior. |
