| Abstract | Esse trabalho fornece a fundamentação física necessária acerca de uma nova metodologia de detecção das datas de Início e Fim da Estação Chuvosa (IEC e FEC, respectivamente) usando dados de Radiação de Onda Longa anti-simétricos em relação ao equador (ROLant). Tal metodologia foi descrita num outro trabalho apresentado no XV CBMET. A evolução de variáveis atmosféricas nos períodos próximos ao IEC e FEC é analisada aqui. O deslocamento da convecção profunda para sudeste, o aumento de movimento ascendente, diminuição da pressão continental, assim como o deslocamento para leste e intensificação da Alta Subtropical do Atlântico Sul (ASAS) são as características propícias para se ter o IEC na região. Quanto ao FEC, há um retraimento da convecção para noroeste, assim como uma diminuição do movimento ascendente, um aumento da pressão continental e maior proximidade da ASAS do continente. Logo, esses campos confirmam a eficiência dessa nova metodologia de detecção das datas de IEC e FEC para regiões do Sistema de Monção da América do Sul utilizando aspectos inter-hemisféricos. ABSTRACT: This work provides the necessary physical fundaments about a new methodology to determine the onset and demise of the rainy season (ONR and DER, respectively) using the equatorially anti-symmetric outgoing longwave radiation (AOLR) data. This methodology was described in another paper presented in the XV CBMET. The atmospheric variables evolution is analyzed here for the periods near to onset and demise. The southeastward shift of the deep convection, the increase of the rising motion, the reduction of the continental pressure, such as eastward displacement and the enhancement of the South Atlantic Subtropical High (SASH) show the propitious aspects for the onset. For the demise, the deep convection shifts northwestward, the rising motion decreases, the continental pressure reduces and SASH displaces westward. Thus, these fields confirm the potentiality of this new methodology to determine the ONR and DER for the South American Monsoon System regions using inter-hemispheric aspects. |
