AbstractWe extend our earlier work on the orthofermion approach to the infinite U Hubbard model to the finite temperatures by obtaining the exact results for the distribution and the partition functions for a system of noninteracting orthofermions. Next a two coupled orthofermion system, interacting through intersystem single particle hopping is studied and the known results are reproduced. All these studies establish the soundness of the new orthofermion based approach for the solution of the infinite U Hubbard model.
