AbstractA fuzzy system intertwined with an optimization technique based on genetic algorithm for designing a VLS-1 Launcher Attitude Control System is proposed in this paper. A linear-quadratic optimization yields gain-scheduled controllers, where Q and R weighting matrices are scored by means of a fuzzy system, instead of directly being chosen by a human designer. As a consequence, not only the optimization technique is extended to the entire launcher simulated trajectory, but also the specifications can be dealt individually. The linguistic variables of the fuzzy system are defined according to performance (rise time and overshoot) and robustness (gain and phase margins) issues, regarding gain vector smoothness, as well. The control system obtained with Fuzzy Design presents many favorable results according a linear analysis and nonlinear digital simulations.Resumo: Um sistema difuso (fuzzy) combinado com a tecnica de otimizacao baseada no algortimo genetico para o projeto do sistema de controle do veiculo brasileiro de lancadar de satelites (VLS-1) é proposto neste artigo. A otimizacao linear quadratica produz controladores com escalonamento de ganhos, de tal forma que as matrizes de ponderacao, Q e R, sao ponderadas por meio de um sistema (fuzzy) ao inves de ser escolhido diretamente por um projetistas humano. Como consequencia, nao somente a tecnica de otimizacao é estendida intereiramente para a trajetoria simulada do lancador, mas tambem as especificacoes podem ser manuseadas individualmente. As variaveis linguisticas do sistema difuso (fuzzy) sao definidas de acordo com o aspectos de desempenho (tempo de subida e sobresinal) e robustez (margem de fase e margem de ganho, considerando tambem a suavidade do vetor de ganhos. O sistema de controle obtido com o projeto difuso (fuzzy) apresenta muitos resultados favoraveis quando comparados com a analise linear e simulacao digita nao-linear.
