| Abstract | Simulações de um caso de ZCAS realizadas com o modelo Eta, utilizando o esquema de convecção Kain-Fritsch (precipitação implícita) e microfísica de nuvens Eta-Ferrier (precipitação explícita), nas resoluções de 20, 10 e 5 km, indicaram que o esquema Kain-Fritsch atua com grande intensidade, gerando a maior fração da precipitação total. Ajustes foram introduzidos no esquema de Kain-Fritsch de forma a reduzir a atividade em função do aumento da resolução horizontal do modelo. Os resultados obtidos mostraram um aumento da precipitação explícita e uma redução da implícita. O posicionamento da banda de precipitação associada ao evento de ZCAS foi melhor quando se reduziu a atividade do esquema implícito. O aumento da resolução horizontal proporcionou um melhor posicionamento das chuvas. ABSTRACT: Simulations of A SACZ case made with the Eta model, using Kain-Fritsch cumulus parameterization (implicit precipitation) and Eta-Ferrier cloud microphysics (explicit precipitation), at 20,10 and 5km resolutions indicated that the Kain-Fritsch scheme works with intense activity and generates the largest fraction of the model total precipitation. Adjustments were introduced to the Kain-Fritsch scheme to reduce convection activity as model resolution increases. The results obtained with the reduction of convective activity in the scheme showed an increase of the explicit precipitation and a reduction in the implicit. The precipitation band associated with SACZ event was better positioned when the activity of the implicit scheme was reduced. |
