| Abstract | As chuvas fortes na cidade de São Paulo são comuns na estação de verão. Porém, prevê-las não é tão simples. Isso por causa da sua característica de ocorrer de forma isolada, mesmo para uma grande área que apresenta as mesmas condições atmosféricas ideais para ocorrência deste fenômeno. Além disso, também temos a dificuldade das limitações dos modelos numéricos, principalmente, no que diz respeito a sua resolução. Um episódio de chuva muito forte com rajadas de vento intensas, que trouxe prejuízo à população de São Paulo, incluindo o fechamento do aeroporto de Congonhas, no dia 31 de março de 2007 foi escolhido para estudo de caso, devido à intensidade da tempestade e suas conseqüências. Na fase inicial deste trabalho foi feita uma análise observacional. Agora, faremos uma avaliação sobre o desempenho do modelo numérico ETA de alta resolução em relação àquela tempestade severa, verificando se as simulações geradas conseguem reproduzir a situação para a formação dessa tempestade e seus resultados ABSTRACT: The strong rains in the city of Sao Paulo are common in the summer station. However, to foresee them is not so simple. That because of its characteristic of happening in an isolated way, even for a great area that presents the same conditions atmospheric ideals for occurrence of this phenomenon. Besides, we also have the difficulty of the limitations of the numeric models, mainly, in what he tells respect its resolution. An episode of very strong rain with intense wind gusts that brought damage to the population of Sao Paulo, including the closing of the airport of Congonhas, on March 31, 2007 it was chosen for case study, due to the intensity of the storm and their consequences. In initial phase this work was does an analysis observational. Now, will be an available the performance of the numeric model high resolution ETA in relation a sever storm, and verifying that the generated simulations can reproduce the situation to the formation of this storm and its results. |
