| Abstract | Foram comparados os ciclos diurnos da precipitação obtida com o algoritmo 3B42_V6 do projeto TRMM e com a técnica CMORPH, durante o período de Dezembro de 2003 a Fevereiro 2004. As análises foram feitas para duas áreas com características distintas. A primeira, A1, cobria parte do Estado de Rondônia e a outra, A2, foi sobre a costa Norte brasileira. Sobre A1 a precipitação do CMORPH foi sempre maior e mais adiantada que a precipitação do 3B42_V6. Já sobre A2 esse padrão não foi verificado. ABSTRACT: The diurnal cycle obtained from 3B42_V6 (TRMM project) algorithm and CMORPH technique were compared for the December 2003 to February 2004 period. Two distinct areas were analyzed; one over the State of Rondônia, A1, and the other along North coast of Brazil, A2. The CMORPH rainfall estimative was always higher and the maximum occurred earlier than the 3B42_V6 one, but this pattern was not observed over A2.. |
