| Abstract | Abstract - Three mechanisms for obtaining thrust level modulation in solid fueled rocket motors with combustion chamber injection are proposed. A series of experiments involving the injection of small amounts of helium and argon into a motor are described. It is argued that results of the experiments demonstrated that the thermal transport properties of the propellant product gases are a major factor in producing thrust level modulation. |
