| Abstract | A solution for the field scattered by an axially symmetric subreflector, in the far field and near field regions, derived utilizing the induced current method. The formulation was applied to two subreflectors to investigate the effects of different peripheral illumination levels in the radiation pattern. For one of the subreflectors, the results of the near field and far field were compared. The conclusions presented are important in the design of Cassegrain antennas with gain optimization. |
