O grau de afetacao dos pes de cafe pela geada, varia imensamente. Alguns nao foram sequer danificados, enquanto que outros foram totalmente destruidos. Entre estes 2 extremos existe um grande espectro de prejuizo. O Instituto Brasileiro do Cafe em cooperacao com o Projeto SERE da CNAE e o Instituto Agronomico de Campinas tentarao localizar na regiao afetada pela geada, um lugar, a fim de estimar a aplicabilidade do sensoriamento remoto, com o intuito de determinar o prejuizo. Simultaneamente, este voo operacional permitira o conhecimento do prejuizo que a praga do nematoide causa a plantacao de cafe. A infestacao de nematoides e um problema crescente para os cafeicultores. Abstract In July 1969 a strong frost period caused a considerable prejudice in the plantation of coffee of the State of Parana, with an estimated 97 affected plantation. The degree of affectation of the cafe by frost feet, varies immensely. Some were not even damaged, while others were completely destroyed. Between these two extremes there is a great prejudice spectrum. The Federal Cafe in cooperation with the Project SERE of NCEA and the Agronomic Institute of Campinas will try to locate in the region affected by frost, a place in order to estimate the applicability of remote sensing in order to determine the loss. Simultaneously, the operational flight allowed the knowledge of prejudice that plague the nematode causes plantation of coffee. The infestation of nematodes and a growing problem for farmers.
