Abstract | In a previous paper a new scheme has been proposed for the wave functions of hydrogen atoms in strong magnetic fields. The advantages of this new scheme are, for instance, the fast convergence for a small set of basic functions, a somewhat smaller ground-state energy as compared with the ones previously published, and a labeling of the energy states closely related to that of the hydrogen atoms in the absence of a magnetic field. |
