AbstractFour monsoon indices are defined to identify the onset, demise dates and the intaseasonal variability of the rainy season over West-Central Brazil region. The 850ZWI is useful to identify the demise date the UVI, MWSI and 850ZWIcan indicate the intaseasonal variability of precipitation over WCB.
