| Abstract | Com o objetivo de melhor prever o desenvolvimento de SCM na América do Sul, será introduzido e avaliado um novo índice para sua previsibilidade proposto por Jirak e Cotton (2007). Em uma primeira análise foram estudados dois casos de SCM sobre a região, onde o índice mostrou-se eficaz na identificação do ambiente favorável ao desenvolvimento destes fenômenos de tempo. ABSTRACT: With the objective of better forecasting the development of SCM in the South America, it will be introduced and evaluated a new index for its previsibility according Jirak and Cotton (2007). In a first analysis two cases of SCM on the region had been studied, where the index revealed efficient in the identification of the environment favorable to the development of these weather phenomena.. |
