AbstractCom o objetivo de melhor prever o desenvolvimento de SCM na América do Sul, será introduzido e avaliado um novo índice para sua previsibilidade proposto por Jirak e Cotton (2007). Em uma primeira análise foram estudados dois casos de SCM sobre a região, onde o índice mostrou-se eficaz na identificação do ambiente favorável ao desenvolvimento destes fenômenos de tempo. ABSTRACT: With the objective of better forecasting the development of SCM in the South America, it will be introduced and evaluated a new index for its previsibility according Jirak and Cotton (2007).
