| Abstract | Este artigo descreve preliminarmente uma nova metodologia objetiva para se estudar fenômenos de escala sinótica TRACK. Esta metodologia, está baseada em um método automático que possibilita traçar trilhas de fenômenos meteorológicos de escala sinótica. Além das trilhas, o método proporciona diferentes saídas estatísticas, tais como, a região onde o sistema se originou, se desenvolveu e se dissipou. Este método foi aplicado para se estudar a climatologia dos vórtices ciclônicos em altos níveis (VCAN) sobre o Nordeste do Brasil (NEB) durante o verão de Dezembro de 2005 a Março de 2006. Os resultados mostraram que é possível obter objetivamente uma climatologia de VCAN´s sobre a região tropical da América do Sul e que o método detecta estatisticamente de forma realista a formação e dissipação dos vórtices ciclônicos em altos níveis. ABSTRACT: This article describes a new preliminary objective methodology to study phenomena of scale synoptic - TRACK. This methodology is based on a method that allows automatic mapping tracks of meteorological phenomena of scale synoptic. Apart from the tracks, the method offers different exits statistics, such as the area where the system was originated, has developed and died out. This method was applied to study the climatology of upper level cyclonic vortices (VCAN) on the Northeast Brazil (NEB) during summer December 2005 to March 2006. The results showed that it is possible to obtain an objectively VCAN´s on climatology of the region tropical South America and that the method detects statistically realistic way of the formation and dissipation of VCAN´S. |
