| Abstract | The main goal of the researches in Astro-Geophysics carried out in the Antarctic Region is the understanding of Astrophysical, Geophysical and Aeronomical processes, taking advantage of the special geographic, climatic and geomagnetic conditions existent in that region. Researches in Nuclear Geophysics will be deve loped mainly analyzing the distribution of radioactive elements in the lower atmosphere, in the ice and in the rocks. The first experiment will consist of measurements of radon and its short life decay products in the air at sea level in the South Atlantic and Antarctic coastal regions. On the Antarctic Continent, vertical samples of ice will be taken to study the record of radon long life decay products, fission products and volcanic ashes over the past decades. | |||
